Add a chaptered video to your SCORM-enabled presentations.
Need to join video and presentation slides together and export it with a SCORM wrapper?
Our problem was how to easily transform a face to face presentation into an online medium where the presenter could host and track who has completed it.
Well, it's coming. We're developing an easy solution, utilising today's abundant access to devices that can easily record audio and video. It therefore seems logical to create a simple app that allows you to easily combine your presentation's slides with recordings from your phone, computer or straight from your browser's camera.
We’re developing this app for anyone who might have slides from various sources and want to add sequenced video to it, then have us convert it automatically to a HTML5 SCORM course.
Why do you need this?
We've been busy talking with lecturers, presenters and students, asking them what sort of pain points they have in the modern-day life regarding learning.
It was determined that people should be able to view and complete content when and where they would like to, while the presenter would like to know that content has been viewed to a predefined stage.
So, no more missing out on that important lecture or presentation!
How will it work?
Drag and drop (or link) a presentation file from your computer onto our browser app and we will convert it into a HTML5 slide representation.
Drag your pre-prepared media onto the app or, alternatively, you can record your own video directly from your computer's camera (all video will be transcoded to HTML5 formats).
We’ve designed a very simple slide sequencing system that allows you to work through the slides and sequence your video to it. Slide Markers are the points in the video track that indicate when a slide should be shown. If you recorded video directly from your computer's cameras and used the cursor keys to navigate slides as you talked, the slide markers should reflect that timing. If you uploaded a video file from your computer, the slide markers will be evenly distribute across the number of slides in your presentation.
Set up your package completion requirements by selecting which slide the user must have completed before a package completion is achieved. Select your preferred layout and theme design.
The Download Package screen requires you to at least name your presentation package before you can download it and allows you to set other optional settings.
You can now either preview it in our Preview Ninja or download it, ready to share with others, or upload it in into your learning management system.
What can be converted?
Any inserted file format will be transcoded into HTML5 safe formats. We support:
We do not currently support conversion of interactions, embedded media or page transitions - just the basic slides
Your format isn't listed here? Get in touch and we can let you know if we can suport it.
Who could use this
This app has been designed for lecturers or presenters, but need not be limited to this type of usage. Teachers might like students to use it to allow creating simple assignments that a teacher can view and mark, or anyone who wants to produce instructive presentations.
The output HTML5 SCORM course can be distributed as a standalone package playable anywhere, or uploaded to your Learning Managment System for tracking purposes.
Share the output with friends, co-workers, family or learners!
We have developed the app to be most compatible with Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for desktops. It might work in other browsers or might not.
The content you produce should work fine in any modern browser, depending on the capabilities and what you put in yourself, and the host LMS.
This app will be releasing soon. Get notified when it does by entering your email address below:
